Girls Night In

Girls Night In

The Girls night in was a huge success as Killarney had a sudden influx of gorgeous women driving around it’s streets looking for our location.

We kicked off the evening getting to know each other and enjoying the Cape Flavour of Laborie wines and Champers which was delivered, might I add by a ruggedly handsome, Sean, complete with a British drawl. He seems to have made the Dolls quite shy I had to practically beg them to get a glass of wine from him.... Now if you know the Dolls, you’ll know that wine is the last thing you’d have to offer twice. The Leborie Shiraz was the most popular choice amongst these women of class.

While revelling in the bedazzling Honey jewels on show we took a moment to get to know each other (and ourselves) a little better.... It was great to have the founder of She Speaks in our midst. Check out their blog at  http://shespeakspoetry.blogspot.com/

Dinner was served thanks to House of JASC Catering and the potato salad was a hit and disappeared in no time, made with the love and precision that only a mothers hands could. Ever so health conscious, Portuguese chicken and Garlic-lemon fish were also on the menu.

As the evening drew on we eventually settled to watch the deeply emotional “For Coloured Girls” Tyler Perry hit us hard where it really hurts. Spectacularly heart wrenching with the deep earthy poetic cries of women expressing emotion from almost every corner. When we parted ways we each left feeling nourished, strengthened, supported and albeit slightly drunk.
